The King Of Limbs

Radiohead’s new album, The King of Limbs, is out. I know this post is late to the game. I’ve been re-discovering some old music and I’ve had my hands full lately.

The jury is still out on this one.

There is a song lyric I do like from it already:
“You stole all my magic.
Took all my melody”
(and it fades into static)

The Light and The Glass

This song touched me today when I listened to it. I thought I’d share. It’s never a bad idea to share some Coheed.

Moving Mountains

Music for Hard Times.

Moving Mountins, by Thrice. Off of “The Alchemy Index: Vol IV”.

I speak in many tongues of many men
Argue with angels and they always win
But I don’t know the first thing about love
I prophesize and know all mystery
All living things are opened up to me
But I don’t know the first thing about love
Know the first thing about love
I have the keys to open many doors
Give all my possessions to the poor
But I don’t know the first thing about love
I’m moving mountains and have faith in me
Have faith enough to caste them to the sea
But I don’t know the first thing about love
I don’t know the first thing about love
all other things shall fade away
Love stands alone and still holds sway
all other things shall fade away
Into the ground into the grave
I give my body up into the flames
And never once did I deny your name
But I don’t know the first thing about love
I don’t know the first thing about love

Gets me everytime

Don’t you draw the Queen of Diamonds, boy...you know the Queen of Hearts is your best bet.

It gets me everytime.

A friend of mine sings it every week at Karaoke for me. He’s started referring to it as “my song”.

Good times.
